We had to create illustrations for the cover and 3 inside pages of any children's story we wanted to. I chose something simple, Red is Best by Kathy Stinson. It's about a little girl who is completely in love with the colour red and tells her mother why she doesn't want to wear her yellow jammies, drink out a green cup, or wear her brown mittens, lol. The original illustrations stuck with me since I first read this story as a kid and I loved the simple, but completely perfect and fitting style. I also went with a simple style, but ended up with something a lot more cartoony. They are all 6 x 6 in pen and ink and coloured pencil.

Funny you should ask but I'm home from uni for a week right now, and I only have some academic reading to do, so I intend to do a lot of work on all those drabbles people requested from me aaages ago. Which means you may get your Roslin/Janeway yumminess soon. ;D

I think she's a real person...her photo is on the book, so I don't think it's a pen name. Why?
